On Saturday, February 24th, we will host a “Scholarship Day” on campus!

Students whom have been admitted to Midway (yes, there’s still time to be admitted if they haven’t already done so!) that have a 3.7 GPA and a 26 ACT or higher, will be eligible to compete for FULL-TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS!

Also, admitted students with chorale and/or piano experience will be able to audition for CHORALE and/or PIANO scholarships!

Right now we are asking students to save the date, and to make us aware of their interest so that we might be able to send a formal invitation as more details become available. If you have students that you know might be eligible, please either send their names back to me or have them contact us!

Finally, if you are willing to pass this along to your chorale/music directors so they can spread the word as well, it is much appreciated! Or, if you’re willing to share their emails with us, I can email them separately. These are some great opportunities for your students, so please feel free to ask questions and spread the word!

Thank you for all you do!

To whom it may concern,

My name is John Wolfe, and I am the director of the Balanced Man Scholarship for the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter of the University of Louisville. Each year, Sigma Phi Epsilon is happy to annually present over $3,000 of scholarship to incoming freshman. In the year 2017, the average grade-point-average of the scholarship winners was a 3.85, and these students have gone on to continue their academics very successfully and to positively influence countless individuals. Sigma Phi Epsilon makes a commitment to finding and developing young men who are dedicated to academics, moral fortitude, and community service through our cardinal principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. We believe these principles show in the winners of our scholarship, and will lead to limitless success in their undergraduate careers and beyond.

Potentially through different types of interviews, events, and a formal banquet during the coming summer, applicants will observe these principles in action, and any interest will be met with excitement. However, this award is non-binding, meaning the award winners are not making a commitment to joining a fraternity, or even attending formal recruitment in the Fall. The intention of this award is to simply to award young men who embody principles that drive success.

Through the following link, you can find our chapter’s application for the scholarship. If you or any potential applicants have any questions whatsoever, feel free to contact me at [email protected] / (270)-816-6586.

Thank you,

John Wolfe

Prep for their future

Top skills needed in virtually every job

Business leaders report that there is a shortage of skilled, qualified workers.

As your child moves through high school, make sure these eight skills are being learned and reinforced. Proficiency in these skills will put your child in a great position to succeed in any pursued career.

A chance for more college options and scholarship dollars

The ACT can be a powerful tool to help your child get into a dream college or earn thousands of dollars in scholarships. In order to reach this point, you and your child should consider taking the test early the spring of junior year.

Here's why.

Habits that lead to success

Along with what is learned in the classroom, your child can also develop a solid work ethic through these seven activities.

Create a college list

There are more than 4,500 plus degree-granting colleges and universities in the United States. How can your child sort through all these options?

Use this tool to find institutions that match your child's priorities and preferences.

My child achieved a high score on the ACT. Should they retest?
