At the recommendation of Governor Beshear, ACSchools will be closing Monday, March 16, 2020, and will remain closed through Friday, March 27, 2020. This may be extended if recommended.
District and School Administrators, along with school staff, have been working to prepare for this since the Governor’s announcement Wednesday, March 11th.
March 16th through March 27th will be NTI days (Bearcat Days). (On NTI days, schools will facilitate learning at home for our students)
Schools will be communicating with parents and students about NTI work and how to contact staff for assistance
Teachers will be available weekdays from 8am to 3pm, to assist students
Schools will continue food service to feed students and other community children aged 18 and under on weekdays from March 16th through March 27th (program details below)
School daycare programs will be closed
All extracurricular activities including sports and sport practices will be suspended during this time

Anderson County Schools will be offering free breakfast and lunch to all children 18 and under every Monday - Friday, through March 27th, at Saffell Street Elementary:

*Drive through and walk up food service is required to be "non congregate," meaning that no one may stay on school grounds to eat. Items will be provided bagged to take home.
