Today, Friday, Jan. 18, 2019, the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) opened the final component of its School Report Card suite. This new component includes more charts and graphics designed to make it easier for parents and stakeholders to understand how well schools and districts are performing across The Commonwealth. The new School Report Card includes school demographics, test performance, teacher qualifications, student safety, parental involvement and more.

Under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), each state was required to create an online school report card as part of its statewide accountability system. KDE partnered with a company called BrightBytes to create Kentucky’s new School Report Card.
It is important to mention no new assessment data is part of this release. The data is the same 2017-18 school year data released in the fall of 2018.

The complete School Report Card suite, including previously released components, is now accessible online at raisethebar.education.ky.gov.

As always, feel free to contact the Anderson County Board of Education if you have any questions or if we can help in any way.
