Dear Robert B. Turner Students and Parents,
I hope you are having an amazing summer with family and friends! So far I have had a
busy summer, but I have enjoyed time with my family. I am writing to let you know how
excited I am for the upcoming school year at Robert B. Turner Elementary. Many of you
know me already, but I wanted to take just a few minutes and share a little bit about me
and my family.
I had the wonderful privilege of working with special needs students from 2006 through
2017. My experiences and the students, whom I’ve been blessed to know and work with
at RBT, have been outstanding! RBT has a special place in my heart and is why I am so
honored and excited to be your principal. I was born and raised in Anderson County,
where I attended and graduated high school. Anderson County is where I call home with
my wonderful wife and two energetic and loving boys. My wife and I attend Alton Baptist
Church, where I lead music with the praise band. Maybe, I will sing for you all one day;
who knows.
The students, families and the community are why I would not want to be principal
anywhere else. At RBT we are a family! If this is your first year, or you are a new
student, welcome to the family. Rest assured we will make sure you feel right at home.
You will have so many opportunities to learn in class and through extra curricular
activities. I just know that you are going to love it at RBT and again I am looking forward
to our wonderful year together.
I want to thank you, the parents and guardians, for your support to our school, teachers
and administration. As educators we have the greatest privilege to impact and change
lives for the greater good. I want to personally thank you for that privilege. I know the
upcoming school year in 2018-2019 will be a great one!
Respectfully,
Jason Alexander
