Message from the Principal, Jason Alexander

Dear Robert B. Turner Students and Parents,

I hope you had an amazing summer with your family and friends! It is always so nice to
spend time together and make memories. I have enjoyed spending time with my wife and
two boys this summer. I can’t believe that Wyatt will be heading to 6th grade and Hudson
will be starting 3rd grade. Time sure does fly by and the older I get, it seems to go by
faster and faster. I know they are excited to see their friends, new classmates, and begin a
new school year. My hope is that you are excited for the new year and to see your friends
and new classmates. I always look forward to the new year and all the great
opportunities ahead. I know we are going to have another awesome year and I am so
grateful to be a Titan with you!

It is truly an honor to serve as your school principal and I absolutely love RBT and being
a Turner Titan. I was born and raised right here in Anderson County, where I attended
and graduated high school. A little fun fact about me is that I play acoustic guitar. Can
you believe that I actually get to sing and play guitar each week at church? My family
and I attend Alton Baptist Church where I have the privilege of leading music with the
praise band. It is a lot of fun!

At RBT we are a family! We take pride in what it means to be a Titan, and when you
become a Titan, you become part of our family. Parents/guardians this not only pertains
to your children, it also pertains to you and the entire family. If this is your first year or
you are a new student, I want to personally welcome you to the Titan family. There is
nothing to be worried about; we will make you feel right at home. Two years ago, we
developed the following Titan Expectations below and we recite them each morning:
T-Take Responsibility
I- I am Respectful
T- Think Positive
A- Act Safely
N- Never Give Up

We believe that it is an honor to be a Titan and that by following the expectations our
students will be set up for success.

Our teachers and staff are truly amazing and you will find that each day when you walk
into our school!! We take pride in greeting not only our students, but parents/visitors
with a friendly hello and a smile. We truly love our kids and go above and beyond every
day to ensure that each child is loved, cared for and provided with an opportunity to be
successful academically, socially and emotionally. You will have so many opportunities
to learn in class and through extra-curricular activities. I just know that you are going to
love being a Titan and again I can’t wait for another wonderful year together.

Lastly, I want to thank you, the parents and guardians, for your support to our school,
teachers and administrators. As educators we have the greatest privilege to impact and
change lives for the greater good. I want to personally thank you for that privilege.
Thank you for entrusting us each day with your children so we have the opportunity to
grow “Our Titans!”

Again, we love all kids, because they are “Our Titans!” I know the upcoming school year
in 2024-2025 will be the best one yet!

Respectfully,
Jason Alexander
